Published on 8/12/2018

MVS Needs You!

Merrimack Valley Striders will have a tent at Andover Day and we need YOU to help us man/woman the booth.

On Andover Day, Main Street is closed so that locals can walk from booth to booth to learn about local organizations and stores.

Responsibilities:

  • Dress in MVS attire.  (Get some here: MVS Uniform)

  • Be enthusiastic!!

  • Promote MVS membership and Feaster Five.

  • Anyone who signs up for either one gets a portable charger!

  • Hand out freebies and MVS information sheets at the booth.

  • Show everyone how much fun our club is.

Other stuff you want to know:

  • It’s on Saturday, September 8th.

  • Shifts are 2 hours:

    • 7:30 – 9:30 (setup)

    • 9:30 – 11:30

    • 11:15 – 1:15

    • 1 – 3

    • 2:45 – 4:45

We’re looking for 4 people per shift, so opportunities are limited. Keep reading to see another reason you’re gonna want to volunteer.

We’d love a range of ages, from high school to senior living eligible.

New to the club? No worries - we’ll provide a talking points sheet for volunteers.

If you really want to volunteer, but your fingers were too slow to get in on this, contact Diane Jannetti and I’ll see if we can squeeze you in.

All Andover Day Volunteers – If you can, we’d like all Andover Day volunteers to come back and meet at the end of the event (at 4) to help break down and for a special surprise thank you treat!!

Please note that this volunteer event is not counted as an eligible volunteer credit for the Super Iron Runner Series.
