Super Iron Runner Series 2020
2020’s SIRS was a “tad” up-ended by the COVID-19 virus, but that did not stop our SIRS committee from their creative remake of the series. All-in-all there were 125 runners that completed either Level 1 or Level 2. The numbers were split in half with 63 members completing their L1 and 62 members recording enough points for L2.
The main point was to keep active, keep connected, and keep MVS visible in the community. For the participants’ efforts, L1 and L2 received bright red, MVS long-sleeved tech shirts. In addition, L2 participants were presented with a warm, Patagonia fleece with the SIRS 2020 logo. Congratulations to All!
Awards were announced at the annual January Awards Meeting via Zoom. In order to “get the goods”, however, a pick-up was designated on the last Saturday of the month at North Andover Middle School where Marcie DiLorenzo and Jennifer Curro handed out the apparel in a socially distanced manner. An Awards Drive-thru!!
