Speed Project - Summer 2024

About this event

XC Project / Speed Training Program

The Speed Project designed for both the Track & Field and Fall Sports athletes looking to become faster, stronger, and more athletic. Participants will include those from Middle School through College, will be placed in groups by ability with coaches focusing solely on the Speed Project.

Our program philosophy will be to develop each athlete to their full potential. We will concentrate on the development of speed, agility, quickness, balance, general strength, bilateral symmetry, and flexibility. Each day we will include 2-3 supplemental activities to challenge our athletes to become fit, fast and staying healthy. We believe that one of their best abilities should be durability. Incorporating wicket drills, 10, 20 & 30 meter sprints, agility ladders and plyometrics to give variety and improvement in max velocity necessary in all sports.

Whether you are preparing for the fall sports season or looking to get faster for the Track & Field season, your speed development is extremely important. Coaches feel that the time to improve your speed is during the summer when you can train without the interruption of competition.
