MVS "Couch to 5K" Training Program
Need a push? Our Couch-to-5K team is here to help! This free program is a wonderful way to get ready for a Fall 5K such as the Feaster Five Road Race on Thursday, November 27th, wherever you may be with your running. Participants can improve from week to week by staying consistent and getting in at least 3 workouts a week for at least 30 minutes per workout. You will be provided with workouts to be done independently. The start of the 8-week training takes place at Shawsheen Square in Andover, MA. Training is coached and supported by Merrimack Valley Strider volunteers. Training begins on Sunday, October 5th at 8:00 a.m. for eight weeks preceding the Feaster Five Thanksgiving Day Race. Race day is Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27th. You do not have to be a MVS member to participate in this running program. For eight years MVS has provided a C25K program for the annual Feaster Five Road Race held on Thanksgiving Day. We use your feedback to make each training program better!
